Fed: Happy Feet Australia's Lord Of The Rings
The director of the Hollywood blockbuster Happy Feet says it'll be to the Australian
film industry .. what Lord Of The Rings was for New Zealand.
Speaking in Sydney .. GEORGE MILLER says the animated feature is both Australian ..
because it was made here .. and international .. because the actors don't have Australian
accents.
Happy Feet was released in the US last month .. taking more than 160 million dollars
at the box office ..but won't be screened here until Boxing Day.
The hero of the film is Mumble .. an emperor penguin .. voiced by ELIJAH WOOD.
Mumble can't sing in order to attract a mate .. but is a great tap dancer.
It also features the voices of HUGH JACKMAN .. NICOLE KIDMAN .. STEVE IRWIN .. and HUGO WEAVING.
