Fed: TGA accused of causing collapse of Pan Pharmaceuticals

Australia's drug regulator's been accused of causing the collapse of Pan Pharmaceuticals
.. the drugs giant at the centre of the country's biggest medical recall.

Pan's former boss JIM SELIM has launched a series of cross claims against the Therapeutic
Goods Administration .. which he wants to sue over the collapse of the complementary drugs
manufacturer in 2003.

Documents lodged with the Federal Court show Mr SELIM's seeking more than 141 million
dollars in damages.

Mr SELIM cites TGA's investigations of Pan .. and the way it ordered the recall of
Pan's nutritional supplements .. medicines and other products.
