NSW: Record employment figures not down to Work Choices: Rudd

Opposition Leader KEVIN RUDD has dismissed the Prime Minister's claims Australia's
record low unemployment rate has been driven by the federal government's Work Choices
laws.

Official figures out today show Australia's unemployment rate dropped to 4.5 per cent
in March .. down from 4.6 per cent the previous month.

JOHN HOWARD says the drop is largely a result of his government's industrial relations overhaul.

But Mr RUDD says it's mainly the result of jobs growth in the booming resources sector.
