NISKAYUNA -- Chris Nappi rushed for 207 yards in 30 carries and scored a touchdown in every quarter Friday night as Niskayuna High's relentless ground game wore down Burnt Hills, 35-20.
The victory gave the Silver Warriors the Suburban Council's Gold Division title. In addition, Niskayuna improved its chances of a high seeding in the Section II tournament, which begins Friday. Pairings will be decided at a meeting of the sectional football committee tonight.
Coach John Furey's Warriors are 4-1 in league and 6-1 overall. They have not lost since an opening-night setback at the hands of Saratoga.
