Vic: Grave fears held for missing Geelong man
The son of a Geelong man missing since early October fears his father may have been murdered.
An emotional DANNY MOORING says his 56-year-old father EARL hasn't been seen since October 10.
Mr MOORING says it's not like his father to disappear without letting family or friends
know his plans.
Police say Mr MOORING'S bank account has been used recently, but it's believed the
missing man did not make the transactions.
EARL NEIL MOORING, a Spirit of Tasmania security guard from Corio in Geelong's north,
was last seen by a friend on October 10 at about 9.30pm when he left intending to visit
his girlfriend, but did not arrive.
Detectives say his red 1996 Nissan Micra coupe with the registration number NTD 626
was seen near his girlfriend's house about 1.30am the next day.
They're appealing for anyone who saw Mr MOORING near his girlfriend's Solar Drive house
-- or a taxi driver at the corner of Solar Drive and Cosmos Court at around the same time.
An information caravan will be set up in Solar Drive today, together with a car identical
to Mr MOORING's, in an attempt to locate more witnesses.
